Our 27

An 8-Week Congregational Reading Plan

Let's Dive Into the New Testament Together!

The majority of church-goers don’t use their Bibles on a week-to-week basis. We have an amazing gift from God and aren’t utilizing it. Our Bible reading habits need to change, both individually and collectively.

The bible can be daunting, so this reading plan simply focuses on the New Testament. These are the core documents which were copied and distributed as the church was only beginning to take shape. They teach us of Jesus, his first followers, and the struggles the earliest believers faced.

The New Testament shows us the roots of our faith. It helps us understand who we are supposed to be, and it keeps us centered on our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Let’s dive in, read it together, and see how God changes us and draws us closer.

Daily readings can be completed in about 20-30 minutes, five days a week, with weekends available for “catch-up.” It is doable. You have the time—the same 24 hours everyone else has, it just has to be prioritized.

Starting in August

This is a congregation-wide endeavor. All adults and teens are encouraged to take part. Even younger children. Anyone who can read is invited to take this journey together.

-Everyone gets a guide with the daily reading plans, prayer points, questions to reflect on, and space to take down notes.

-Sunday morning Bible classes will be tied into the upcoming week's readings.

-Sunday morning sermons in the worship will be based on a theme from the upcoming week's readings.

-Sunday evening study groups will meet in homes to pray, share, and engage with scripture together. They will discuss how the previous week's readings impacted them.

We hope you can join us. Let's grow together in Christ as the words of the Holy Spirit shape us just as they shaped the earliest church.
